Achmea Mortgage Center: no more ‘DIY’ output applications
Standardizing documents and correspondence with Aia Software’s ITP Document Platform.
Nijmegen, 22 February 2005 - Achmea Mortgage Center plans to standardize the production of documents and correspondence using Aia Software’s ITP Document Platform. Replacing an existing solution, all of the documents now will be created, maintained and published through one central server. Moreover, documents and letters requiring user interaction will also now be produced and maintained centrally; users having access to the system through a web browser.
Achmea Mortgage Center, whilst a long-term ITP user, also used internally built output production solutions. Recently, a decision was made to completely renew Achmea’s output system. Dick van Heek, Manager Business Systems Achmea Mortgage Center said:” We have been working with ITP for years now and we are extremely pleased with the capabilities it offers. That was the most important reason why we have chosen, not only to continue our use of ITP but to deploy it more widely. The bespoke output production applications that we still have will be decommissioned and we will move to the latest version of the ITP Document Platform. We are especially satisfied with the price-performance ratio of the product. “
ITP/Server fully automates the production of documents such as policies, mortgages and proposals. Achmea Mortgage Center produces mortgages under different brand names for different companies in the Achmea Group, e.g. Woonfonds, Centraal Beheer and Avéro. Documents for these different trading entities are created using the appropriate company logo and style. Data from multiple databases is used and included in these documents, for example name, contact details, policy numbers and descriptions.
ITP/OnLine Server, enabling browser-based document production, covers all of the text block correspondence, i.e. all of the letters which require user interaction. Users choose the appropriate document type or letter from a menu, and choices can be made concerning the correct text blocks to include. Existing application data can be used or can be provided by the user during the production process. Because document templates are centrally controlled and maintained the correct version of a document is always available. Furthermore, the ITP software only needs to be installed and maintained on one location, as the users access the application through their browsers.

Achmea Mortgage Center is the competence center for the various Achmea mortgage brands. The mortgage products are not offered under their own name but through the Central Beheer Achmea, Avero Achmea and Woonfonds brands. The latter two companies sell mortgages through intermediates whilst Centraal Beheer sells directly to the end customers. Some of these brands are also known for their insurance offerings (medical, pensions etc.) and thus a mortgage is often sold in combination with another product.
