Aia Software Launches New ITP/OnLine Server at AIIM Conference

Powerful Interactive Interview Feature Guides End Users Through Document Creation

New York City, March 8, 2004 - Aia Software, the source for affordable data-driven document software, announces new ITP/OnLine Server, a unique web-based solution for generating correspondence and other business communication. ITP/Online Server joins the ITP Intelligent Text Processing Software platform as part of the strategic output processing infrastructure that helps companies create documents and e-output from databases and application data. ITP/OnLine Server leverages web technology to help companies deliver better customer self-service and achieve greater operational efficiency by leveraging the speed and convenience of web-based processes.

"We are continually looking for ways to improve ITP Software and make it easier for our customers to use it to maximum advantage," said Leon Pillich, CEO, Aia Software. "Our new ITP/OnLine Server uses the convenience of a web browser to let users create their own documents immediately at point of need without having to maintain additional software at the PC or workstation. It streamlines the process and gives users more ownership of the documents that are important to them."

With ITP/OnLine Server, frontline office workers, agents and even customers can create their documents on the fly, based on formatted application data and user-driven interaction available from the ITP document library. ITP/OnLine Server gives access to the ITP document library to users via a browser, so work processes can be offloaded onto the web environment, rather than confined to a PC or workstation for processing.

The process of creating data-driven documents is transparent to users because ITP tools offer built -in support for widely used text processors such as Microsoft Word and OpenOffice.Org. No programming knowledge is required, and users may not even realize they are creating a document using the ITP platform as they are guided through the process via an interactive software-driven interview. This powerful productivity feature prompts users to complete data entry fields, check boxes and choose default answers in drop down menus. The user can also edit these documents within established parameters and pre-determined access levels. After completing the interview, ITP/OnLine Server interfaces automatically with ITP/Server for final document processing and distribution.

Because the tool is web-based, employees and customers at any web-accessible site can generate documents and send them for processing through ITP Software without any loss of time or consistency with corporate standards. ITP supports the formats commonly needed by enterprises for output processing, such as PDF, e-mail, printer data streams, and HTML output for documents to be published on the web.

With ITP/OnLine Server, organizations can take advantage of the benefits of ITP software tools without having the expense of installing and maintaining the software at every user's PC or workstation. As a result, cost of ownership savings can be dramatic. Highly scalable ITP/OnLine Server can support thousands of simultaneous users to further reduce total cost of ownership and improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

ITP software can be fully integrated with any business application and data repository, and ITP/OnLine Server supports a variety of open and proprietary data sources like iSeries, MQ series, Oracle, SQL, XML and XML Web services, making it an extremely easy fit with existing business applications.

ITP/OnLine Server is being introduced worldwide at the AIIM 2004 Expo March 8-10, 2004 in New York at Aia booth 2572.
