From VarE-Docs™ to ITP
Many organizations are currently using VarE-Docs™ for document composition. Because this product no longer is supported by its producer/reseller, we experience a growing demand for replacing this document generating tool.
Aia Software has previously performed a VarE-Docs™ to ITP migration project at LeasePlan Belgium. For this migration project Aia Software has developed a number of tools to assist in the migration process. These tools, though tailored to the specific templates and VarE-Docs options that were being used at LeasePlan, made it possible to perform a partially automated conversion of templates in the migration project.
We managed to realize the migration project within a limited time frame, reusing the original VarE-Docs™ document templates as much as possible. Both content and business rules from the original templates have been converted into the new ITP Models.
