Legal & General Nederland Life Insurance (L&G) is part of the Legal & General Group Plc., a leading international insurance group with investments of over 184 billion Euro and offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, France and The Netherlands.
The decision: Need for replacement of text management system
L&G was using AS/400 S38/utilities text management which proved to have several disadvantages: the quality of the documents and policies were not in line with today's business requirements for personalized business documents, the system had limited possibilities regarding the choice of fonts and was not able to produce graphical output. From a business viewpoint there was a need to shorten significantly the development time of making new insurance products.
The solution: ITP, the "easy to use and understand" software solution
The software solution that Aia offered to L&G was a document production environment with the ability to produce high volume documents (letters to policyholders, reminders etc.) through the ITP/Batch Server. This scalable ITP solution for L&G also produces documents on demand instantaneously and interactively through the ITP/Client Server.
