About Quion
Quion is an independent company dedicated to the processing of mortgages. Quion has an extensive network of financial institutions and a large distribution network with a modern, in-house developed mortgage system. This system is modular so that Quion is able to support various and multiple brands at the same time. Quion also offers services for supporting the processing of the mortgage portfolios of various mortgages companies in the Dutch market. Well-respected national and international financial institutions are among the Quion clients.
Making mortgage proposals, accepting them and, above all, servicing the resulting mortgages is an ongoing process. Once the mortgage has been issued it is necessary to monitor the monthly payments, send out payment reminders if required, talk to the customers by phone, and keep track of all changes. Mortgage brokers can supply these services themselves or leave it up to a specialist like Quion. Because Quion provides these services for multiple companies they are able to deliver them effectively and efficiently. The financier can chose to offer the money through an insurance company like Erasmus, Generali, Falcon or through the mortgage brand Hypotrust. Of course, it is also possible to introduce an own product to the market.
In both cases Quion services the complete back office and some parts of the front office. Finally, there are companies with a mortgage portfolio that is closed to new business and here the complete processing is outsourced to Quion. In addition to the previously mentioned brands, Quion also services Argenta, Interpolis and Axa.
Quion’s need
In all areas of the mortgage business documents are an important factor and therefore they are of crucial importance in the services Quion offers. The correspondence has to comply with regulatory controls and has to be tailored to the look and feel and other specific demands of each client. This applies throughout the mortgage life-cycle, to the initial proposal to the customer and to all of the subsequent correspondence during the duration of the mortgage. In some cases Quion is ‘anonymous’ in its contact with the customer: both voice and written communication is conducted in the name of the client. It is clearly very important for Quion that the letters and documents are created and distributed with the correct data and to the proper locations.
Aia Software’s Solution: ITP
Quion creates all of its correspondence and documents with Aia Software’s ITP Document Platform. Together with the client and based on the requirements concerning the company’s look and feel, the layout of the documents and letters, including the company logo and its location, order of the data, fonts and even stationery type, is determined. Data such as contact information can be retrieved and used from various and multiple data sources. Finally, the text itself consists of various text blocks, which can be inserted when needed. This provides the possibility to create specific documents. From a maintenance perspective it is important that all of the documents and text blocks are stored centrally. Changes can only be realized by authorised staff members, thus everyone will have the correct version of a document whenever they need it.
Aia Software’s ITP Document Platform is completely integrated into the Quion applications through the use of API’s that allow ITP to retrieve the data from various and multiple data sources. This interface ensures that the core of the solution, all of the documents, the text blocks and the logic, remain solid because of the independence of the system that is in use.
The result
How does it work? Staff members of Quion can choose various standard documents based on the client name. Depending upon the goal, they select a document and through interactive questions they can add or delete information. Where appropriate, they are restricted to choosing from specific groups of text blocks. The interface is simple and easy to use.
