ITP documents for National Register Day Care
Our client ICTU develops applications for a string of public sector institutions. These applications subsequently go live at a management organisation. As part of a government initiative to revamp industry regulation, the e-Inspecties programme has now developed the Shared Inspection Area for Child Care (Gemeenschappelijke Inspectie Ruimte Kinderopvang, or GIR). Local health authorities use this application, which uses ITP, to conduct inspections of child care organisations.
An amendment to the Child Care Act has led to the creation of the National Child Care Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang, or LRK). The National Child Care Register holds records for all day-care centres, after-school centres, host-family agencies and host families that comply with the quality standards set by the Child Care Act. After the launch of the National Child Care Register, a decision was made to refactor the Shared Inspection Area for Child Care and equip it with the latest technology.
This has seen this Shared Inspection Area split up into an inspection part (GIR Inspecteren) and a enforcement part (GIR Handhaven). This GIR 2.0 continues to use ITP for both parts: The inspection part uses ITP to generate inspection reports and standard letters, while the enforcement part uses ITP to generate enforcement letters. These applications were developed in the past year, and will now be managed by the Education Executive Service (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs).
