Aia Software UK joins Socitm

Socitm

To support the new Public Sector Division Aia Software (UK) Ltd. have applied and been accepted as a member of Socitm. Socitm is a membership organisation running professional and commercial activities. It was founded in 1986 as the professional association for ICT managers working in and for the public sector. The main focus of Socitm is to support professional development of all people working in public and third sector ICT at all stages of their career and to put members from the private sector on an equal footing to those from the public sector. Furthermore it wants explicitly benefit employing organisations as well as individual ICT professionals. With around 1700 members from 550 different organisations including 98% of all UK local authorities, Socitm provides a widely respected forum for the promotion, use and development of ICT best practice. It is also playing a leading role in ICT-facilitated local government transformation in the UK. Socitm is a very active organisation providing annually more than 60 short courses, workshops, seminars, and focus meetings covering all aspects of ICT related topics which affect the UK local government technology sector.

The major annual event is the annual conference, which attracts between 350-400 attendees. This year the conference is being held at 11- 13 October in Edinburgh. Theme of this year is “Re-inventing local public services- radical thinking, practical solutions”. At the conference, Aia Software will be hosting exhibition stand number 34, presenting a demonstration "ITP Document Platform: the latest solutions regarding interactive document composition".

By becoming fully involved with Socitm and taking part in their events Aia will benefit by becoming aware and knowledgeable of key local government initiatives, and strategies, furthermore mixing with other public sector technology companies may leverage new business partner and new ISV opportunities for Aia Software.
