Press releaseJune 10th, 2008 Aia Software and Compart sign Letter Of Intent at DrupaDüsseldorf, June 10th 2008 - At the Drupa event in Düsseldorf, Aia Software and Compart signed a Letter of Intent to enter into an agreement governing the integration of the ITP Document Platform with DocBridge Mill. With this integration Aia Software extends the current ITP Document Platform functionality beyond document composition, aiming especially at the SME market. The primary benefit from the integration between the ITP Document Platform and DocBridge Mill for the Aia customer community will be enhanced integration between the ITP Document Platform and the customer’s existing printing and distribution infrastructure. This initial integration will expand into a fully fledged business-managed correspondence platform, which will be connected to a company’s CRM system and potentially all new and legacy systems. To support Business Empowered Communications, an interface will be provided for business users to define the default or preferred ‘correspondence arrangements’ required to meet the needs of each customer or business partner relationship. The ITP Document Platform is a leading solution for both on-demand document generation and interactive correspondence production. The ITP Document Platform supports the ‘Business Empowered Communications’ concept: whereby the business can directly manage document templates and content, thus providing the necessary agility to rapidly respond to business change. DocBridge Mill provides functionality to convert documents and spooled print output, allows content modification and optimization, and can then transform it into practically any output format (from AFP to PDF/A). DocBridge Mill can selectively perform multiple processes including separation, content modification, classification, indexing, conversion, and distribution, thus providing enhanced presentation, printing, and archive capabilities. Harald Grumser, Managing Director Compart: “We are very pleased with the agreement to work in partnership with Aia, a company which offers a solutions platform for applications and markets which Compart has been unable to service, thus far. The combination of both companies’ solutions considerably extends the available functional spectrum and enables Compart’s products to be available to more customers.” Paul Dirven, CEO Aia Software: "We are delighted that we can extend the power of the ITP Document Platform by means of Compart’s DocBridge Mill. Currently, Aia is one of the leading companies in the field of interactive correspondence composition systems. Through this integration we will extend our leadership to the correspondence classifying, enveloping and distribution process. Always with our central focus on the business user, this cooperation enables our customers to enlarge their agility” About CompartFounded in 1992, Compart Systemhaus GmbH is now an established supplier of software components and services in the areas of document and output management.
