Aia Software provides a replacement for ICTU's eFormulieren facility

Integration with primary systems and ease of use for citizens is the main focus

Nijmegen, April 2009 - Aia Software, Authors of the ITP Document Platform, endorses the GEMMA e-forms standard from EGEM i-teams. This standard has been established as the missing link with the public sector. In developing ITP Web Forms, Aia Software not only focused on these standards, but also on the integration of the forms application with local councils' primary systems.

Ease of use for citizens

Aia Software's ITP Web Forms supports the customer self-service strategy adopted by a range of organisations, including insurance companies, mortgage providers and local councils. This forms application can be integrated seamlessly with local councils' and companies' primary systems. Customers can deal with quotes, applications and registration forms online. When they log in using a DigiD or personal ID code, data linked to their account is entered in the relevant form automatically. Another benefit is that the input is also checked and validated. Furthermore, the form has been designed to display or skip questions or input fields based on the answers already given, so that only relevant questions are asked. The user-friendly interface and a logical structure mean that forms can be completed quickly.

The current eFormulieren facility in ICTU's electronic forms programme is being phased out. As of 1 January 2010, local councils that use eFormulieren will have to purchase a replacement solution from the private sector. "We are aiming to implement the GEMMA e-forms standard in full," says Paul Dirven, Aia Software CEO. "Electronic service provision is the authorities' main focus and electronic forms play an ever more important role in contact with citizens and the local industry, as part of a multichannel approach. Now that the government facility will no longer be available, we want to offer local councils a good alternative."
