Aia Software Saves Time and Improves Flexibility for Markinson ERP Users
Melbourne, 31 March 2008 - Aia Software, a leading supplier of document automation solutions, has been chosen to enhance the flexibility and document composition capabilities of Markinson Business Solutions’ Momentum Pro ERP system. Aia’s ITP (Intelligent Text Processing) Document Platform will be integrated with the ERP, saving Momentum Pro users time and money while improving service levels by allowing them to create a wide range of customised documents.
Markinson CEO, Ian Whiting, said that ITP overcomes limitations with the previous document automation application, which offered only limited options for customisation and was incompatible with the Windows environment.
“Our clients are major players in the import, wholesale and distribution sectors and have diverse requirements when it comes to producing supply chain documents like picking and packing slips, invoices, and credit notes, as well as a wide range of marketing and support documents,” he explained. “By integrating Aia’s ITP solution with Momentum Pro, we give our clients much greater flexibility and agility to create and tailor documents for specific clients, not only on paper, but also on fax and email.”
Markinson spent almost 12 months evaluating a wide range of products, including a detailed proof of concept, before deciding on Aia’s ITP platform. “ITP is easy to use and enables us to empower our users by dramatically reducing the time and effort required to manage and change content. The fact that we could deal directly with the vendor was also critical since we’ve had problems in the past trying to get support from a third party distributor for our previous document automation product.”
Mr Whiting said he was also impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism demonstrated by Aia Software during the sales process. “We spent a lot of time talking with their solution architects and are very comfortable with where the company is going and its commitment to us as a customer. In all our dealings, Aia was highly proactive and worked with us in a very collaborative way. They clearly recognise that our success is their success,” he said.
