ITP Software Manages Insurer's Document Output

Palm Coast, FL, May 11, 2004 - Aia Software, the source for affordable data-driven document software, announces that the Argus Group has selected Aia's ITP Intelligent Text Processing Software to drive output processing for all its insurance product lines. Argus underwrites all types of insurance through specialized property, health and life companies in Bermuda. ITP Software provides the strategic output processing infrastructure that helps companies create documents and e-output from databases and application data. It can be fully integrated with any business application and data repository.

"To achieve high quality output that was easy for employees to produce, we needed a solution that leveraged the familiarity of MS-Word for document creation, and ITP fully met this requirement," said Michael Wicks, Argus Assistant Vice President of Information Systems. "ITP Software offered us a more robust alternative for document creation, management, production and printing, and it made sense to standardize all our output onto this platform."

ITP Integrated with IBM iSeries RebusIS Genius Because of the positive results, Argus has standardized on ITP Software for all output processing, and is moving forward with integration on an application-by-application basis for greater convenience and easier management and maintenance. Today, Argus uses the IBM iSeries RebusIS Genius application for its property and casualty insurance processing, integrated with ITP Software for output processing of all product lines.

Each line of insurance offerings requires its own set of documents, so while output volumes at Argus are not large, there are a great many forms and content to manage. On the health side, for example, Argus uses ITP software for about 800 monthly invoices and for weekly claims payment information to providers. With the software in place, Argus is assured that the appropriate content is pulled and placed automatically. With the flexibility of ITP software, Argus also has the ability to make changes more quickly.

"We are excited to work with an insurer of the caliber of the Argus Group," said Walter Gussman, Vice President, General Manager of Aia Software North America. "Their success with ITP Software is a good example of the numerous ways our solution can have a positive impact on our customers' strategic goals."

ITP has given Argus the tools to move forward more quickly on critical initiatives, such as transferring operational responsibilities out of IS and into the business units. ITP support for commonly used word processing applications like MS-Word now make it easy for customer-facing employees to generate documents more immediately through ITP. At one point, Argus relied heavily on preprinted forms, but with ITP in place, they have eliminated preprinted forms and achieved savings in storage costs and administration, while reducing waste from outmoded forms.

ITP seamlessly integrates into core applications while remaining transparent to the end user, and final documents are created without external scripts, macros or applications. The software's richly featured end-to-end output processing covers all key functional areas with a single modular toolset. It supports both workstation-based and high-volume server-driven document generation. ITP is compatible with all standard data sources and platforms, as well as a variety of output formats including e-formats such as PDF and HTML.
