WindowsEnabler for MQSeries |
Organizations that are using Mainframe or other large host based systems are often using MQSeries for the communication between their systems. Aia Software offers WindowsEnabler for MQSeries for the creation of individual documents, based on MQSeries messages.
A typical use is the creation of documents on user workstations, based on data entered in a host application. The host program creates an MQSeries message and sends it to the user workstation. On the workstation, WindowsEnabler for MQSeries automatically starts ITP and the applicable document is created - based on the data from the MQSeries message.
The basic concept is very simple: WindowsEnabler/MQSeries is a Windows program that accepts commands over a MQSeries queue and executes them on the Windows PC that it is running on. This way you can start document production on a PC workstation with ITP/Workstation.
It becomes possible to invoke WindowsEnabler/MQSeries in a relatively easy way from any platform that MQSeries supports. MQSeries takes care of some complex issues such as authorisation and code-page translations. WindowsEnabler/MQSeries itself actively supports a number of MQSeries reporting options, so that progress can be monitored and error situations can be handled on the server in a typically MQSeries way.
WindowsEnabler for MQSeries is the choice for workstation-based documents. ITP/Server is available if you want to create server-based documents, based on MQSeries messages.
