What does this mean?

This certification means that SAP has formally recognised that ITP/OnLine Server can be fully integrated within a SAP^® Enterprise Portal solution. In this particular situation ITP/OnLine Server acts as a, so called, iView and can, for instance, be used as a correspondence application within an SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 solution.

What's in it for the ITP users?

SAP solutions are being used in more and more ways. Historically, SAP solutions was deployed as an application for logistic processes, but now SAP solutions is deployed by such organizations as insurance companies, leasing companies and local authorities. However, SAP does not offer functionality for customer organizations to produce complex documents and correspondence. It was already possible to use data from SAP databases in ITP documents, via the ITP Web Services connection, which is used to communicate with XI - integration layer of SAP. This solution is already being used by hundred's of ITP customers. Now with SAP NetWeaver integration, it is also possible to integrate the production of workplace directly in applications on the SAP NetWeaver platform.

By achieving SAP NetWeaver certification, ITP/OnLine Server can be fully integrated within a SAP Enterprise Portal solution. Even corporate styles from the SAP NetWeaver application can be automatically incorporated into the ITP interfaces. Consequently, the production of correspondence, quotations and agreements, for example is experienced by the user, as a seamless extension to the SAP application.
