Application driven document composition |
Adding Value to Transaction Applications
Transaction documents like tax notices, renewals or invoices are typically triggered by an application event such as a particular date or a purchase. Batch runs of these documents occur without any user input. Consequently, document composition is almost a fully automated process, with content completely determined by available application data and standard texts. Still, companies want the flexibility to not only print in batches, but also generate individual reprints for customer service requests or other purposes. The ITP Document Platform easily handles even high volumes of transaction documents.
Composition of application-driven documents is facilitated by ITP/Server, a server-based solution that seamlessly brings data and structure together into one professional package. Its capabilities add value as a controlled batch environment or as an on-demand document composition server for individual documents like reprints. Creation of large volumes of transaction documents usually demands file formats suitable for production printers, but those formats might not be suitable for the cut-sheet systems needed for individual reprints. In addition, many companies and their customers want to deliver and receive business documents via print, fax, email and post without creating and distributing multiple versions of the same document. Multi-channel delivery is easy with ITP. Users create a document just once, and from behind the scenes, ITP automatically readies it for whatever form of delivery is required.
