Interview with Paul Zoon of PinkRoccade Local Government

Aia Software recently interviewed Paul Zoon, Product Manager of their business partner PinkRoccade Local Government.

Can you briefly describe PinkRoccade Local Government?

In the mid '90s, PinkRoccade Local Government was looking out for an integrated solution for the composition of documents based on data from in-house applications that support the local government to execute their primary activities.

When did the first contact take place between Aia and PinkRoccade Local Government and what was the reason for this contact?

PinkRoccade Local Government has opted for ITP due to the speed with which this could be integrated in their applications. "We were very impressed with the functionality of the product. Besides, we also were very interested in working together with Aia Software due to the good impression that they had made on us." The main functionality is the composition of official documents such as dispositions, assessments, and extracts. It is also used for composition of ad hoc forms such as meeting and receipt confirmations.

What were the major drawbacks of the original solution(s)? What requirements could not be implemented?

We were looking for a solution integration. That was also a request from our clients. Till then we have had a different solution for every application. Not very user friendly for our clients and it also added to the unnecessary development costs.

Why did you choose ITP?

We had opted for ITP due to the speed with which this could be integrated in our applications. We were very impressed with the functionality of the product. Besides, we also were very interested in working together with Aia Software due to the good impression that they made.

The main functionality is the composition of official documents such as dispositions, assessments, and extracts. It is also used for composition of adhoc forms such as meeting and receipt confirmations.

Which ITP products have been utilized?

In the first place, only the ITP/Client Server was used. In the meantime, ITP/Batch Server and ITP/Document Services have been implemented. ITP/Document Services and ITP/Batch Server are especially used for our new product lines that have been developed in SAP- and Lotus Domino.

How do the (end) users perceive the options of ITP? Is one satisfied with the functionality? What is the importance of ITP at the workplaces of your customers?

Users find it a pleasure to work with ITP and they highly appreciate the product. We provide support to the system administrators with the preparation of templates by delivering standard templates, training and workstation instructions.

ITP at the workplace of our customers means that issues can be handled at the counter. This is a pleasure not only for our customers, but also for the citizens.
