Leading Connecticut Medical Insurer Implements ITP Software for Correspondence Management

Palm Coast, FL - JULY 20, 2004 - Aia Software NorthAmerica, the source for affordable correspondence management solutions, announces that Connecticut Medical Insurance Company (CMIC) has licensed Aia's ITP Software to help drive mission-critical correspondence output. ITP Intelligent Text Processing Software provides the intelligent infrastructure that helps organizations create documents and e-output from databases and application data.

Organized in 1984, CMIC provides a financially strong, long-term source of professional liability insurance for Connecticut's healthcare professionals. The mutual company insures over 2,500 healthcare professionals in Connecticut, and providing timely accurate correspondence for these members is a critical part of CMIC strategy.

"CMIC-insured physicians, surgeons and other healthcare professionals benefit from our policyholder-oriented philosophy and commitment, which provides them with timely quality services and accurate information. We expect that ITP software will be a key part of the workflow," said Denise Funk, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of CMIC.

CMIC has licensed ITP for use in conjunction with the company's existing IBM iSeries RebusIS Genius application, an integrated and complete insurance solution for the property and casualty market. It addresses all major lines of business, including reinsurance, managing general agents (MGA), and managing general underwriters (MGU), through to niche and specialist insurance. ITP provides fast, seamless, consistent output for all kinds of correspondence, while improving performance through ease of use and faster runaround.

"We are pleased to be selected to provide this vital solution for CMIC, a Company that demands the highest standards in all aspects of its business," said Walter Gussman, Vice President and General Manager of Aia Software NorthAmerica. "For service-oriented organizations like CMIC, the quality and timely delivery of correspondence is critical to meeting customer expectations, and ITP Software will help CMIC gain valuable benefits through improved performance and quicker turnaround."

Scalable ITP can handle tens of thousands of documents a month and distribute that correspondence seamlessly via e-mail, fax or paper. Reductions in printing cycle time result in better customer service and faster time to market. ITP can support hundreds of agents or customer service reps, and a browser-based interface gives remote locations the same robust capabilities as the corporate office. Even average users can produce high-quality output with their familiar MS-Word applications. Implementation of the new ITP Software at CMIC is expected to be complete by January 2005.
