Permission to edit the configuration of objects in the ITP/MDK Repository. This permission gives access to the window of an object.
Initially all that can be changed with this permission are the name and the description (in other words, the tab of the window). The next permissions determine which of the other tabs of the window will be shown.
Note
The Configuration permission is needed for the Configure authorization, Configure auto-includes, Configure characteristics, Configure DID/CC, Configure field set and Configure project permissions. This permission implicitly allows a user to rename objects.
Note
A user whose roles have been changed must log out and log on for the change to take full effect.

The tab will be hidden for users that don't have permission to edit the tab.
