Parameters

CMD

PC commandline

This parameter can specify a complete command line for executing a program on the workstation, including the complete directory path for the program and any parameters that you want to pass to the program being started.
WindowsEnabler/400 supports UNC (long) file names, containing spaces. Enclose the command, document, or parameters that contain spaces in double quotes (").

PRINT

This parameter is deprecated. It still works, but will be converted to an internal *print command.

WAIT

*YES | * NO

Default: *NO Wait (or do not wait) for the termination of the program on the workstation (WAIT).

TIMEOUT

*NOMAX | number in seconds

Default: 30

Specifies how long WindowsEnabler/400 should wait for a reaction from your workstation indicating that the requested program could be executed or not (TIMEOUT). This value is specified in seconds. If there is no reaction within this time-out period from your workstation, an error message is generated.

RUNTIMEOUT

*NOMAX | number in seconds

Default: *NOMAX

Specifies how long WindowsEnabler/400 should wait for termination of the PC program on your workstation (RUNTIMEOUT). This parameter is only applicable when entering *YES on the WAIT parameter. This value is specified in seconds. If the PC program on your workstation is not terminated within this time-out period, an error message is generated.

LOC

*DFT | WindowsEnabler/400 Server PC name

Required, default: <empty>

Specifies the name of the PC location (LOC) where the program, specified in the CMD parameter, is to be executed. The value *DFT causes this command to behave as the STRWINPGM command. If you specify a non-default location, WindowsEnabler/400 will check whether the specified workstation is enrolled in its server database.
