WindowsEnabler/400 is supplied on CD. Place the CD in your AS/400's CD player. IF you do not have access to the CD player, refer to Installation without an AS/400 CD-Rom drive for instructions for a manual installation.
Create the userprofile ITPOWNER. See also The user profile ITPOWNER.
The user-id used for the installation should have *ALLOBJ special authority.
Start the installation:

LODRUN DEV(<optical device>) DIR('/as400/we400').

You can submit the command LODRUN to batch through SBMJOB.

If you are performing an upgrade from version 3.0, refer to Upgrading from version 3.0 for additional instructions.

You must have started the TCP/IP daemon, if you want to use TCP/IP communication.
