Roles can be assigned in two ways; roles can be assigned to users and users can be assigned to roles.
The Administrator can assign roles to users. This can only be done for the ITP/MDK Repository as a whole. Ones a role is assigned to a user the permissions within that role cannot be revoked on project, folder, or document level. Roles can be assigned to a user on the Authorization tab of the configuration window of a user.
The Administrator and users that have permission to configure authorization in one of their roles can assign users to roles. This assignment is for projects, folders, and documents. Authorization is managed by assigning users to one or more of these roles on the Authorization tab of the configuration window of projects, folders, and documents.
