Capability; ITP/Document Processor

As explained in the Introduction, ITP/Server consists of one ITP/Document Processor Manager that distributes request to one or more ITP/Document Processors on one or more servers. Servers are physical machines in this case. ITP/Server's capability to cope with a given load depends on two factors, the number of ITP/Document Processors and the number of machines or servers in the setup. A discussion of how to increase ITP/Server's capability under different circumstances can be found below.

The example above presents an ITP/Server set-up with one server, MACHINE_1.

The number of machines, or servers, is visible in the tree view of the Administrator under the Servers node. Each Server lists its ITP/Document Processors on the tab Components. This tab is visible when a server is selected in the tree view.
