In some situations an incorrect configuration of ITP/Server will lead to components that will not react to a Stop or Restart command. The solution is to use the Kill button to stop these components and correct the configuration.
Known situation:
ITP/Document Processors may wait indefinitely during startup if they try to connect to a port that is used by a program other than an ITP/Server, and this program does not return any data upon a connect request.
