Content Wizard

The element named Content Wizard is the topmost element in the tree view. You can add Sections, Selection Groups, or Text Blocks to this level in a Content Wizard. All items added here are mandatory.

You can edit the Content Wizard element by double-clicking it, or by opening the shortcut menu (right-clicking the element) and selecting Edit. The Title of the Content Wizard is the same as the name entered for the Content Wizard definition in the ITP/MDK Repository and cannot be edited here.

Name and description

You can enter a name and description in the Display area of the Content Wizard. The description will be presented to the end user at the top of the Content Wizard Selection form.

The display name will be presented to the end user in the title of the Content Wizard Selection form and of the Editable Text Block. If the display name is left empty the name of the Content Wizard will be used instead. For ITP/Server versions lower than 3.5.3 it will be left empty.

QForm reference

You can enter a QForm reference in the Content Wizard. The QForm defined for the Content Wizard element will be applied to the Text Blocks of all Sections and their subsections in the Content Wizard. The QForm will be applied regardless whether other QForms have been defined for those sections. Following this QForm the QForms defined for the Sections and subsections will also be applied. You can find more information on QForms in the ITP/MDK Repository Manual, chapter Objects and actions reference.

Show items

When a Content Wizard is invoked in an ITP Model the end user is presented with the opportunity to select which optional Sections and Text Blocks will be included in the result document. The options presented in "Show Content Wizard items" allow you to influence the behavior of the Content Wizard when it contains mandatory elements. The following options are available:

The option Show all indicates that all items will be shown to the user whether any choices can be made or not. If the Content Wizard contains only mandatory Sections and Text Blocks the Content Wizard will show the user a read only list of the mandatory elements.

The option Hide mandatory indicates that all mandatory items will be hidden to the user in this Content Wizard. This means that for a Content Wizard consisting entirely of mandatory Sections and Text Blocks, nothing will be shown. For a Content Wizard containing also optional items, only those items for which a choice can be made will be shown.

The option Model decides indicates that the behavior will be defined in the model document in which this Content Wizard is used. This functionality is only available for a ITP/Create Model Package 3.5.0 and higher. If a ITP/Create Model Package lower than 3.5.0 is used the behavior will be equal to the option Hide when mandatory. For more information on this subject refer to the keyword WIZARD in the Model Developer Manual.

Note

The setting Show items has no effect on QForm behavior.
