Custom log location

When Log to file is selected ITP/Server will write a log for every ITP/Document Processor to a default location in the ITPWork folder. (Refer to "Locating the log file" in "Using the logs" below for more information). If this causes problems or you want to log to a location on the Server that runs a specific ITP/Document Processor, the log location for the ITP/Document Processor on a specific server can be set on the Folders tab of that server. When more than one machine is used in the ITP/Server set up it is even advisable to set a local log location for every machine that runs a ITP/Document Processor to avoid network traffic.

Note

Make sure that the account that runs the ITP/Server processes has sufficient authorization to write to the folder where the log files will be written. If ITP/Server has not sufficient authorization to the log folder, it will not be able to start any of its services. If no log files are created by ITP/Server, check the Microsoft Windows event log for error messages.
