If you take a look at the architecture drawing you can see that Services are central to ITP/Server. Services determine which tasks ITP/Server can perform. For example, in an ITP/Server setup a task can be to take the parameters from a request and use them to run a specific ITP Model, to take the output of the ITP process, send it to an archiving system, convert it to PDF, and send it together with an introducing e-mail to the customer or just send the output to a printer and send an e-mail to the operator.
