ITP/Document Processor Manager distributes requests over all available ITP/Document Processors. The Manager is automatically aware of which ITP/Document Processors are available and will not try to send a request to an ITP/Document Processor that is not functioning. The same awareness makes the setup of ITP/Server flexible, a ITP/Document Processor can be stopped and the Manager will just stop sending requests to it during its down time. When it is started again it will receive requests again. Therefore, ITP/Document Processors can be added to a running setup; the added capacity is immediately available.
Because of its central role ITP/Document Processor Manager contains the only interface in ITP/Server to listen to requests.
