Document Assembly (Run Model)

Result documents are generated by executing the corresponding ITP models (this is called the runmdl process). This process can be initiated from the ITP Model developers environment or by an application.

A Model can be designed to be interactive. When it is run it will ask the user to make (database) selections or to provide additional input.
Models can also be designed to run without any input from a user, such as when batches are run by an application.
During one run of a model, one or more result documents can be produced.
The runmdl process is highly optimized and performance is mainly limited by how fast data can be retrieved.
The result document will be produced in the same word processor format as was used for the original Model Document.

ITP/Workstation

ITP/Workstation is used for the creation of individual (interactive) result documents at the workstation level.
It can be used directly from the desktop, word processor or it can be automatically triggered from an application. It generates high quality business output directly from corporate applications and data repositories.
ITP/Workstation allows user interaction. It is possible to add custom interactive dialogs such as questions and choices to your Model Documents. These dialogs will ask the user for input when the Model is run.

ITP/Server

ITP/Server is a Microsoft Windows 2000 and up server environment for running ITP automated documents (Models) to produce result documents for the PC word processor of choice.
It can be used for the creation of many individual documents on-demand and for the creation of large batches of documents.
ITP/Server can also be integrated in a host application and can also be used for further post processing of the documents created by ITP.
To maximize scalability ITP/Server can be deployed on multi-CPU servers or it can effectively integrate several physical machines in one single ITP/Server setup.
