Error; The device does not recognize the command

This error can pop up when you attempt to start or restart ITP/Server, or just 1 ITP/Document Processor. This error can mean that the scripts must be compiled.

Go to the Services node in the tree view of the ITP/Server Administrator. On the Services tab you will find the Compile Scripts button. Pressing it will compile the scripts and, when no errors occur, the Save and Apply button will restart ITP/Server.

Note that if compiling the scripts doesn't work there might be something else wrong. In that case the ITP/Server log or the Microsoft Windows Event log should tell you the cause.
