Both the ITP/MDK Repository Server as the ITP/MDK Repository Client uses a configuration file that can be used to do some extra configuration.
Settings are stored in the file itprep.ini. The client and the server have their own ini file. These files are located in the ITP/MDK Repository folders of respectively the client and the server. They can be edited with any text-editor.
Note
There are (at least) two itprep.inis: one for the server and one for each client.
Note
The configuration files are only read at start-up. Ergo:
Restart the ITP/MDK Repository on the client after you have edited the client configuration file.
Restart the ITP/MDK Repository Server if you have edited the server configuration file.
In normal circumstances, the configuration file is filled correctly and sufficiently by the installer program. Some fine-tuning, or changing configuration later, can be done by hand. Edit the configuration file in a plain text editor, such as Notepad.
Below, the example values given are the default values.
