Installation and configuration of the ITP/MDK

The ITP/MDK is installed with the installation of the ITP/MDK Repository and has no special configuration settings or files.

Note

The ITP/MDK is implemented through macros, and thus sensitive to macro settings in Microsoft Word. Changing these Microsoft Word settings can result in unpredictable or incorrect behavior of the ITP/MDK. Most notably if the security setting is set to high Microsoft Word will refuse to run the macros that make up the MDK. A way around this problem is to mark Aia Software B.V. as a trusted source. That way the security setting can remain high.

If you are using Microsoft Word XP you should also be aware that the setting "Store random number to improve merge accuracy" should be switched off. This setting makes random numbers appear in the text causing serious problems for ITP. In Microsoft Word 2003/XP you can find this option via Extra > Options > tab Security.
