Installing the Sample Applications

The functionality of the ITP/OnLine web application is exposed through one or more custom ITP/OnLine applications, which are installed in the ITP/OnLine configuration folder.

ITP/OnLine comes with three sample custom applications: sample, sample2, and newsample. These sample applications are delivered in the installation package in the form of three ZIP archives called sample.zip, sample2.zip, and newsample.zip.

Note

The ZIP archives custom1.zip and custom2.zip do not contain complete samples. These zip files are used in examples in the ITP/OnLine Customization Manual.

Note that installation of the sample applications is optional. Usually, the sample applications should be installed for development installations. However, for production installations it is advisable to install only the custom ITP/OnLine application that will be used in this particular production situation.

In order to make these sample applications available, follow the steps below:

  1. Create the folders sample, sample2 and/or newsample in the ITP/OnLine configuration folder.
  2. Unzip the file sample.zip into the folder sample.
  3. Unzip the file sample2.zip into the folder sample2.
  4. Unzip the file newsample.zip into the folder newsample.

This procedure is the same for all supported web servers.

Note

If the sample applications are installed after the ITP/OnLine web application has already been deployed and the web server has been started, the applications are not immediately available. To make them available, the web server must be restarted.
