Introducing the architecture and functionality

To start at the top; the Integration Layer consists of APIs, a COM library, an AS/400 Command, and Java classes which you can use to integrate ITP/Server in your application. It is also possible to use one of the client programs, saclient.exe or paclient.exe, which are installed with ITP/Server to submit requests. Refer to Integrating for more information on integration.

A test tool is provided for test purposes. This tool can submit a request using TCP/IP and display the result. This tool is available in the Tools menu of the Administrator.
ITP/Document Processor Manager, the next layer, contains the external interface and divides the incoming requests over the available ITP/Document Processors.
The Services are shown here as layers to demonstrate the fact that all Document Processors contain all Services. This is what makes load balancing by the ITP/Document Processor Manager possible.
The output is at the bottom. Each ITP/Document Processor produces its own (multiple) output.
