Introduction to the Content Wizard Editor

With the Content Wizard Editor you can create a definition for a Content Wizard. A more detailed description of Content Wizards can be found in the ITP/MDK Repository Manual, section Content Wizards of chapter Objects and actions reference.

A Content Wizard definition can be created, viewed, and edited with the Content Wizard Editor. The Content Wizard Editor consists of a left and a right pane. In the left pane, the tree view is presented. In this tree view the Content Wizard definition is represented as a tree containing Sections and Text Blocks.

When an item is selected in the tree view you can see the properties in the right pane. In this pane all properties can be edited, except for the Content Wizard title and Data Definition properties. Double-clicking a specific item will open a dialog to change the item. Double-clicking a Section, for instance, will open the section dialog in which properties of the Section can be changed. There is no dialog available for Data Definition Groups.

When a Text Block is selected you can see a preview of the content of this Text Block by activating Show Text Block Preview. This can be activated either by checking the Show Text Block Preview check box below the tree view or by activating Show Text Block Preview in the View menu. The preview will be shown in the top of the right pane.

If a new Content Wizard is edited for the first time you can select a Data Definition to use in the definition of the Content Wizard. Content Wizards which are based on a Data Definition can use the structure of this Data Definition to present repeating questions to the user.
Whenever a Content Wizard is based on a Data Definition, the right pane will show a view of the Data Definition structure. It will also show you which Data Definition elements and Fieldsets are available for any selected Content Wizard item.
