Introduction to the ITP/Server Installation Guide

This manual contains instructions on how to install and use ITP/Server 3.5.21 release. This manual follows all steps, necessary to get the ITP/Server up and running. If you have a previous version of the ITP/Server installed, refer to chapter Updating ITP/Server or ITP/Document Processor for information on how to upgrade it. Refer to Chapter ITP/Server and ITP/OnLine Server for general information on ITP/Server and how it relates to ITP/OnLine Server.

Read the chapter Requirements first to get an insight in what you will need to install ITP/Server. The remaining chapters describe the installation in steps. We suggest you follow the sequence suggested in these chapters.

The ITP/Server consists of three installation programs; the ITP/Server, ITP/Document Processor, and the ITP/Server Administator installation, details on the installation of these programs can be found in the respective chapters:

Developers who want to develop, on a workstation, a connection or connections using APIs to existing ITP/Server Services should install the client install. Chapter Installing the ITP/Server Client set provides more details on installing a client on a system.

Chapters Installing the ASP.NET Web Services interface and Installing the J2EE Web Services interface provide a concise description of the installation of the respective products. For a more detailed description refer to the ITP/OnLine Installation Guides of J2EE or ASP.NET.

The chapters Installing the Directory Watch interface and Installing the MQSeries interface discuss the installation of the respective interfaces.

It is possible to install more than one ITP/Server on one machine. Refer to chapter Installing more than one ITP/Server on one machine for more information.
