This manual describes the configuration and use of ITP/Server, and the Integration Layer. It is one of four manuals that describe ITP/Server:
In addition the Monitor program comes with its own Help.
As its name indicates, ITP/Server is a server application that runs ITP processes. It is aimed at exacting circumstances where multiple simultaneous requests must lead to multiple outputs in various formats. ITP/Server is a server application that is, and must be, stable and reliable. It's an application that can also grow with your organization.
To achieve this, ITP/Server is made infinitely scalable; you can add Services, ITP/Document Processors, and servers. It is even possible to add processing units to a running set-up without interrupting the production process. This first section gives a brief overview of the structure of ITP/Server and it's components.
This manual describes the configuration and use of ITP/Server, and the Integration Layer.
ITP/Server functionality is captured in its Services. Chapter Functionality; Services provides more information about these Services.
ITP/Server consists of one ITP/Document Processor Manager that distributes request to one or more ITP/Document Processors on one or more servers. Chapter Capability; ITP/Document Processor provides more information about ITP/Document Processor and discusses how to increase ITP/Server's capability under different circumstances.
ITP/Server is controlled with the Administrator. Chapter Managing ITP/Server; The Administrator discusses the options and menu's of the Administrator.
Advice on settings and things to keep in mind when installing word processors or printer drivers is provided in the chapters Installing word processors and Installing printer drivers, respectively.

How ITP/Server can be monitored is discussed in chapter Monitoring.
The issue of security for the external interface, the internal interface, and the settings for the account used to run the ITP/Document Processor Manager and ITP/Document Processors is discussed in chapter Security.
Information about recovering jobs if ITP/Server stops functioning can be found in chapter Job recovery.
ITP/Server is primarily designed as a high-grade server application that runs ITP Models. ITP/Server needs a Configuration file and an Environment to create and run ITP Models. Refer to chapter ITP, run a model for more information.
<itps_ser> is controlled by scripts. Detailed information about scripts and their usage can be found in chapter Scripts and Scripts folders.
Chapter Scheduled jobs provides more information on scheduled internal jobs and their setting options.
The Integration Layer consists of APIs, a COM library, an AS/400 Command, and Java classes which you can use to integrate ITP/Server in your application. Refer to Integrating for more information on integration.
Known issues and, if available, possible solutions are covered in chapter Known issues.
