Configuration
All objects in the ITP/MDK Repository can be configured but not all to the same extent. There are eleven categories of configuration depicted as tabs in the Configuration window:
- General, contains the name and description of the object. It also can contain an Export alias. The Export alias will replace the project name when the project is exported. If no Export alias had been entered the name of the project remains unchanged during export. This allows the project to be exported under a different name.
Additional information may be present, e.g. whether the object was involved in an import or export operation, whether it originated in another ITP/MDK Repository. Some object-type specific settings can be found here, too. - Project, this tab is only present on Projects. It defines the type of project, include folders, and settings for creating ITP Models.
- Style Document, on this tab the Style Document (revision) to use in model documents is set, if any.
- Data, this tab contains the selection of the DID or Data Definition that is used to create ITP Models.
- Test Model, here you can select on which platform to do test runs of ITP Models in the ITP/MDK Repository, either on ITP/Workstation, ITP/Server, or ITP/OnLine Server. Also the necessary configuration for these options is located here.
- Runtime (only for Projects), defines the search paths for dynamic objects.
- Auto-includes, on this tab the usage of auto-includes can be configured.
- Characteristics, this tab shows the characteristics attached to an object, and allows you to select or de-select characteristics.
- Define Characteristics (on Projects only), on this tab the Characteristics can be defined that are available for the objects in the project.
- Authorization, this tab shows and defines the authorization set on the object.
- Field Sets, this tab is only available on Form folders and Text Block folders. It allows you to limit the availability of Field Sets and Views for the Forms and Text Blocks residing in the folder.
Each object in the ITP/MDK Repository shows a selection of these tabs in its configuration window depending on the settings possible or necessary for that object.
Note that configuration is also subject to authorization; a user will only see the item Configuration in the context menu when he is authorized to do so in one of his roles.
