General

ITP/Server is a collection of one or more Document Processors, on one or more machines, controlled by one Manager. Each Document Processor offers Services. A Service is based on a script. One of the tasks a Service can perform is to initiate and control the ITP process of producing documents, based on models, which incorporate data from a possible variety of databases.

In the design of ITP/Server we paid a lot of our attention to safety and load balancing, to make it as robust as possible. The load balancing features make ITP/Server infinitely scalable, you can add Document Processors and even extra machines, to cope with a given load. ITP/Server comes with an array of Services ready to use and you can add Services if you want the ITP/Server to perform new tasks. Jobs can be submitted in several ways to ITP/Server using TCP/IP. A collection of APIs, a COM library and several clients are available.

For those of you who are familiar with the ITP product family, ITP/Server incorporates ITP/Document Services, ITP/Watcher, ITP/Load Balancer and ITP/Batch Server.

All documentation, with the exception of the Installation Guide and the Release Notes, can be found on the ITP Knowledge Center. The Installation Guide and Release Notes are only available for customers who have access to the support section of the corporate website.
