ITP/Server installation

Software

Deployment of ITP/Server is supported on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the following server platforms:

Client versions of Microsoft Windows are not supported.

The following wordprocessors are supported by ITP/Server for the purpose of printing and processing of documents:

The documents produced by ITP/Server are expected to be compatible with other versions of these wordprocessors. Please refer to the supplier's documentation of the wordprocessor for details on compatibility.

Note

ITP/Server might be unable to access documents with Microsoft Word 2007 or Microsoft Word 2010 on a default Microsoft Windows installation. Refer to the Troubleshooting section for a way to address this.

Network ports

ITP/Server requires two TCP/IP network ports for incoming connections. The default installation uses the following ports:

TCP/IP ports cannot be shared between multiple listening programs. If either one of these ports is already in use by another application or an existing ITP/Server installation, ITP/Server must be assigned other ports after installation. Refer to chapter Installing more than one ITP/Server on one machine for detailed instructions.

Memory and disk space

We recommend to allocate the minimal memory and disk space requirements as documented by Microsoft for the operating system. Allocate an additional 128Mb memory for each <itp_dp> installed on the server.

The ITP/Server software requires 60 Mb of free disk space.

Additional space for Log and Temp folders

Every ITP/Document Processor requires disk space for storage of intermediary results and temporary files. The required space depends on the size of the documents that are produced. As a guideline the size should not exceed 10-20 times the size of the biggest result document that is generated.

Per ITP/Document Processor a log is written. The size of these log files can be limited with the ITP/Server Administrator.
