The Monitor can connect and monitor an existing ITP/Server. In the ITP/Server that is to be monitored a Monitor port must be set.
This allows a developer to monitor and, to a certain extend, control submitted jobs. At start up the monitor will ask for a host name, the name of the ITP/Server, and the port to be used by the Monitor. This port is set on the Monitor tab of the ITP/Server to be monitored, in the ITP/Server Administrator.
