You can install and use WindowsEnabler on a file or application server. Multiple users can then use the same WindowsEnabler program files and the same configuration file.
You can set-up multiple configuration files for different (groups of) users or server PCs. If you require multiple configuration files, you should always start WindowsEnabler with the configuration file as a command line parameter to avoid possible problems.
If you enable logging, you have to make sure that each WindowsEnabler PC or WindowsEnabler user uses a different log file. WindowsEnabler will not crash when multiple instances of WindowsEnabler write to the same log file, but the resulting log entries will be unpredictable and highly confusing. A solution for this problem is to create the log file on a local drive or in the user's home directory, for example c:\temp.
To create a network installation you can either directly install the WindowsEnabler program files on a network drive or copy the WindowsEnabler program directory to a network drive.
Before your users can use WindowsEnabler you should consider whether it is necessary to install the Autostart feature (see section Autostart) or the registry entry for PCO ID retrieval (see section ID Retrieval).
