With the new menu, all kinds of new objects can be created. The name of an object can be 254 characters long. The name of a Text Block, a View, a Field Set and a Forms definition may not contain a dot ("."), a semicolon (";") and all other file system-reserved characters. Only those New… options are available that can be performed at that location and to which the user is authorized.
