No roll back

A roll back to a previous version is not possible. If you want to test a new version of the ITP/MDK Repository you must either test it with a fresh database or backup your database, using your DBMS, and upgrade the existing one. This backup of the database can then be used as the database of the re-installed previous version should you decide not to use the last version.

Take the following steps if you want to go back to a previous version:

• Restore the backup of the database.
• Check that the Data Source Name points to the right database, or create a new Data Source Name.
• Install the previous version of the server.
• Check during install that the Server will use the right Data Source Name.
• Install any clients, also of the previous version.

Note

During installation the database referred to by the Data Source Name will be populated. If the Data Source Name refers to an existing database of the ITP/MDK Repository, the data will be converted to the new version. This is an irreversible process.
