Objects
This chapter gives a description of all the objects that can be created and maintained with the ITP/MDK Repository. The actions that can be performed on the specific object are listed. There are different kinds of objects. The so-called dynamic objects can be used to manufacture content. Other objects lay down the processing, structure, and the house style of a document:
- DID files describe the way the data have to be retrieved.
- Model Documents are used to define ITP Models.
- Text documents can be used as model documents to create HTML/XML documents or plain text.
- ITP Models contain an optimized form of the Model Document, including all text, layout and ITP instructions.
- Style Documents contain Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org styles.
- Include Documents are building blocks included in another document.
- Data Backbones provide a structured view on data available to the ITP Model and other dynamic objects. They are also responsible for the data retrieval.
Projects, Folders, and Include folders are used to store and manage the other objects.
