ITP/Server is a collection of one or more of these ITP/Document Processors, on one or more servers, controlled by one ITP/Document Processor Manager. ITP/Document Processors process the requests and produce the output. Each ITP/Document Processor offers all Services. In fact, ITP/Document Processors are clones. Because they are not specialized, ITP/Document Processors can be added without any configuration to cope with a given load. It is a case of more of the same.
ITP/Document Processors use a TCP/IP interface to communicate with the ITP/Document Processor Manager. Therefore, ITP/Document Processors can be installed on any machine that can 'see' the machine running ITP/Document Processor Manager.
