The ITP/MDK Repository supports and encourages separation of development steps, e.g., Development, Test, Acceptance, and Production into several ITP/MDK Repository installations. The role, or purpose, of such an ITP/MDK Repository installation can be configured in that installation, so that the ITP/MDK Repository Client can clearly show to the user with which installation he is currently working. Furthermore, objects and revisions that are exchanged between several such installations hereby can clearly show their origin.
