Active jobs are never recovered. If ITP/Server is shut down in a controlled way, these jobs are always processed completely before ITP/Server terminates. If ITP/Server is terminated by some other cause, it is impossible to determine whether or not these jobs were the cause of the termination. Therefore it is left to the operator to determine the cause of the termination and to recover the jobs manually because automatic recovery is not desirable.
