Runtime

You can configure search paths for runtime retrieval of dynamic objects, such as Text Blocks, Views and Forms. If an ITP Model inserts Text Blocks, uses Views, Content Wizards, or Forms, the ITP/MDK Repository will look for them in a number of folders that you configured in the tab Runtime for the project. An `absolute path´ for dynamic objects enables you to forego the search path functionality. Refer to the general ITP/MDK Repository Manual chapter General Use, section Absolute for more details.

The Name and Folder are always displayed after adding a runtime object, because when a New Folder or runtime object has been made in the ITP/MDK Repository tree, they get a default name or the user has set it. The Description will only be shown when the user has set it.

Allow selection of folders in libraries

This option can only be selected if libraries are configured on the project. If this option is not set, the search paths can only contain folders of the project itself. If an object is not found in the project's search path, it will be attempted to find it in one of the libraries. The object is sought in each library according to the search path of that library. In this way, responsibility for configuring a correct search path is moved in part to the libraries, making the project's search path less complicated. On the other hand, there is less control over the search path on a per-project basis.

If the option is set, the search paths can be extended with folders of the libraries of the project. When retrieving dynamic objects during a model run, the objects must be found in the search path of the project (that, as said, may include folders of the libraries). If a project is configured to search in specific folders of libraries, no searching is performed in the libraries according to their own search path. In this way, it is possible to determine the search path of a project in detail, without having to rely on the search path of the library.

Note

The option per-Project is present starting with ITP/MDK Repository 3.5.3. Projects with this option set should not be exported to older ITP/MDK Repository versions. ITP/MDK Repository versions 3.5.1 and 3.5.2 will refuse to import. Older version will perform the import but running models can yield unexpected results.

Add a Text Block, View or Form

When adding a runtime object to the Search path feature all the Text Blocks, Views or Forms in the regarding folder, which are not yet added, will be presented. Before adding one or more objects, you can choose one of them or select them all.

Remove a Text Block, View or Form

You can remove the selected Search path for the various runtime objects. You can do this one by one, select several or select them all and click the button Remove.

Order

With the up and down arrows you can manipulate the order of the selected objects.
