A Selection Group element is used to let the user select optional Sections or Text Blocks in the Content Wizard. A Selection Group either is a Section Selection Group or a Text Block Selection Group. A Section Selection Group only contains Sections. A Text Block Selection Group is used to have the end user select Text Blocks; these Text Blocks are either added directly to the Text Block Selection Group, or they are specified by adding a View.
You can add Selection Groups to the Content Wizard element and to Sections. The Selection Group itself is always mandatory. The items you add to a Selection Group are always optional. Selection Groups cannot be added to Text Blocks or other Selection Groups. Selection Groups do not count as a separate level; refer to the topic Section for more information on this.
Selection Group title
In this field you can enter the title of the Selection Group
Select from this Selection Group
The properties determine how many optional items, either Sections or Text Blocks, can be selected for this Selection Group. These properties refer only to the Sections or Text Blocks, which are added directly to this Selection Group.
Note
When the selection is changed from "0 or more" or "1 or more" to "0 or 1" or "1", the application checks whether multiple optional Sections or Text Blocks are default selected. If so, all the default selections of those Sections or Text Blocks will no longer be default selected.
Note
The options "1" and "1 or more" are only available with ITP/Server version 3.5.7 or higher.
Question text
You can enter a Question text for your selections. This text will be displayed to the end user in the online selection form of the Content Wizard. In this text you can give a description of the selection list that is being offered. If you leave the Question text empty a default text will be displayed. You can use a space if you want to have no text displayed.
Note
Question text is only available with ITP/Server version 3.5.7 or higher.
