The server program must have access to an ODBC-compliant database. A variety of databases can be used. The ITP/MDK Repository distribution contains a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine. This engine is licensed to be used with the ITP/MDK Repository. Refer to the Installation Guide for the database requirements details.
Note
MySQL 'as is' cannot be used by the ITP/MDK Repository. Please refer to the ITP/MDK Repository Installation Guide for information on how to adapt MySQL for use with the ITP/MDK Repository.
Note
When running ITP/MDK Repository on Microsoft Windows 64bit, you need to add a DSN in a special way. Please refer to the ITP/MDK Repository Installation Guide on how to do this.
Warning
Please be aware that the database attached to ITP/MDK Repository contains important production data. Make sure that it is backed up on a regular basis.
