Style Documents contain Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org styles. If a revision of a Style Document is configured on project level or on document folder level all these styles are available to lay out the documents in this project or folder. Besides Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org styles, Style Document can also contain style elements such as a company logo, a header or a footer. To include these style elements in the model document, the Style Document is included with a special include instruction: __INC(*STYLEDOCUMENT)
__INC(*STYLEDOCUMENT) will include the configured styledocument in the model document. This construction allows you to update Style Documents without the need to touch the model documents. If you edit and save a new revision of a Style Document you do need to reconfigure the correct Style Document revision on the project of the folder. Style elements can also be saved and included with a normal include document.
Style Documents are created and maintained within a special Style Documents folder. This folder is by default created when a new project is created. It is possible to rename this folder.
By default, when you create a new project, Style Documents for Microsoft Word documents Microsoft Word docx documents are added and saved in the folder Style Document. The name Text Block Style Document in this folder is reserved for Microsoft Word documents (*.doc) and Text Block Style Document Docx for Microsoft Word documents (*.docx). The Text Block Style Document is already configured on the project. The Style Document holds the styles that are applied to the Text Blocks when they are inserted in the document. For more information refer to Text Blocks.
Note
Changes in a Style Document only takes effect in models when those models are recreated.
For OpenOffice.org documents this Style Document is default not available. You can either create a Style Document with the styles needed for Text Blocks yourself or add the styles to the document or include a document with these styles in the document in which you wish to use Text Blocks.
For Microsoft Word documents (*.docx) you need to switch the default selected Text Block Style Document to the Text Block Docx Style Document available in the Style Document Folder.
